PIPER

Piper is an incredibly versatile, fun dog who loves to learn and do things with her people. She is a strong, independent girl who is extremely bold and resilient, with great environmental focus that makes her excel in all scent related sports. Her favourite activities are scent detection, shed hunt, barn hunt, tracking- anything that gets her using her industrial strenght nose! She earned the nickname "Piper Pig" due to her powerful and often loud, popping nose sounds that clearly telegraph what she's thinking. She also loves the clarity and precision of obedience work. That combined with her exceptional body awareness leads to some fancy footwork in her precision heeling moves, some of her favourite tricks to show off! Piper has also enjoyed training in agility her whole life, and has developed incredible skills work in that arena. 

Piper has very high food drive, and is willing to work very hard to earn her snacks! She has medium toy drive, and prefers a thrown toy with retrieve over tugging. 
Piper is a wonderfully socially stable dog. She is bomb proof to walk into any situation or venue, extremely human social (never met a stranger!), and very stable around dogs. She sets firm but kind boundaries with other dogs, and is an excellent socializer dog to teach polite manners to other dogs, as well as to her own puppies.

Piper is a very intuitive dog to train and handle. With so many sports to train in, we often go months at a time not focusing on certain skills or sports. Piper has a wonderful abililty to show up at a trial having not done today's sport for a while, and with a few quick props or cues for context, she knows exactly what job she's there to do that day, and never lets me down with her memory of previously taught skills.
